Republican
Michael Fitzpatrick Voter Guide Information
Dear Friend of Truth,
You may be wondering what information I will provide you regarding
Fitzpatrick's stand on the issues. Since voter guides have not yet been
published for the November, 2004 election, I will provide you with snips of
news articles along with links to take you directly to the source, both on
the World Wide Web and also in PDF format. Following each snip I will
interject my thoughts on the news. I left the Republican Party for a reason.
I pray that you will join me in Truth and Love for our nation.
On Abortion:

Fitzpatrick's stem cell research
stance upsetting to some Bucks voters (PDF)
By Hal Marcovitz Of The Morning Call
"Last
week, though, Commissioner Michael G. Fitzpatrick said he would be open to
federal funding for embryonic stem cell research, a position anti-abortion
leaders did not expect to hear from the Republican."
"Last week, Fitzpatrick and
Greenwood patched up their
differences. They appeared together at a news conference, where Greenwood
endorsed Fitzpatrick. Greenwood said he backed Fitzpatrick because of the
commissioner's support for open space preservation and commitment to
public service, but Greenwood also made it clear that he would not have
endorsed Fitzpatrick if the commissioner had not declared an open mind for
embryonic stem cell research."
"In addition, Fitzpatrick said he would
support international family planning programs...."
''I'm very shocked, quite frankly,'' said
Joe Mortimer, president of Bucks County's Voices for the Unborn. ''We
offered to throw our support behind him, but if that's what he stands for,
we can't do that.''

Abortion splits candidates (PDF)
By BRIAN CALLAWAY
The Intelligencer
"When asked about it, Fitzpatrick is
quick to play up his moderate credentials in various areas...."
[Erich - "I promote no moderate beliefs or plans, only
constitutional ones."]
"He's also said that while abortion is
getting a lot of attention now, voters in the 8th Congressional District -
all of Bucks County and small sections of Montgomery County and
Philadelphia - will be much more interested in issues like homeland
security and the economy as the campaign progresses."
[Erich - "I disagree. I believe that the God-loving citizens of the 8th
Congressional District put the defense of Life at the top of the priority
list. For, if we were aborted or euthanatized, we would be murdered and
buried right now."]
"Fitzpatrick... has declined to say
whether he would allow the procedure in situations where the fetus was
conceived through rape or incest."
[Erich - "I believe that, being created in the image of God, the worth of
all human life is equal, and that legalized murder based on age
discrimination or based on the sins of someone's father is an
abomination."]

Greenwood reaffirms support of Fitzpatrick (PDF)
By PAUL RUPPEL
The Intelligencer
"While Fitzpatrick doesn't share
Greenwood's pro-choice views on abortion (except in cases of incest, rape
or when the mother's life is in danger).... "
[Erich - "Those of us who love God
and know Truth know that the term 'pro-life' can not include the legalized
execution of innocent pre-born people because of the crimes of their
fathers.
Abortion has always been
illegal in
the United States, and most importantly, it is an abomination to Jesus
Christ!
All children are given a purpose by God- see
Psalm 139:13-16.
God commands that no one should be murdered for the sins of their father-
see
Deuteronomy 24:16! "Fathers shall not be put to death for their
children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for
his own sin."
Those who condone such abominable acts shall be judged, not only on earth,
but after death, by Jesus Christ.
An abortion is never medically necessary to save the life of the mother.

League for the facts!"]
"Fitzpatrick said he would consider
extending federal funding on stem cell research and embryonic research on
frozen embryos."
"I'm here to make it perfectly clear
that I am 100 percent behind Mike Fitzpatrick,"
Greenwood said. "Mike has
asked me to be his general campaign chairman. I have agreed to do
that...."
[Erich - "
Jim Greenwood was the author
of the abominable 'Clone
& Kill bill.' Mike Fitzpatrick clearly violates Psalm 1:1, "Blessed is
the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked ...." I rest
my case."]

United States Constitution:

Fitzpatrick defends acceptance of money (PDF)
By BEN FINLEY
Bucks County Courier Times
"Fitzpatrick said abortion isn't a U.S.
House of Representatives issue because they don't confirm Supreme Court
justices, the Senate does, should the court reconsider Roe v. Wade."
[Erich - "Fitzpatrick's statement proves that I am the superior candidate
in regards to understanding, defending, and properly using the United
States Constitution. Citing Article 3, Section 2 of the United States
Constitution, I will introduce a bill to remove the jurisdiction of the
federal courts in matters of abortion, returning abortion law to the
states where it belongs so that abortion will once again be illegal.
The U.S. House of Representatives can move to impeach pro-abortion federal
judges on bad behavior, citing Article 3, Section 1 of the U.S.
Constitution, for not obeying the preamble of the Constitution, which
states, 'We the People of the United States, in Order to... secure the
Blessings of Liberty to ...our Posterity, do ordain and establish this
Constitution for the United States of America.'

On Land Tax and Government Land
Condemnation (Eminent
Domain):
August 15, 2004
In 8th, opening shots target taxes (PDF)
By BRIAN CALLAWAY
The Intelligencer
"'Our question for Fitzpatrick is why
does he think that tax increases on a local level are a good thing, while
tax decreases at the federal are good,' he said. 'That's inconsistent.'"
"The criticism was based on
Fitzpatrick's approval of the county's 2004 budget, which included a
14.6 percent property tax increase."
"Fitzpatrick said the Schrader
campaign's charges are absurd, stressing that the county's tax increase
had nothing to do with the federal government...."
[Erich - "I disagree with
Fitzpatrick. That which a person does and believes in one job carries over
into the next (by their fruit you will recognize them). Actions
define a person's beliefs. Property tax =
communism;
government ownership of your land. If you don't pay your property tax,
what happens? An armed government representative or representatives will
eventually visit your home and remove you and your loved ones using
whatever force they deem necessary.
Our Founding Fathers fought and
died for our private
land rights:
President George Washington: "The
time is now near at hand which must probably determine whether Americans
are to be freemen or slaves; whether they are to have any property they
can call their own...."
Samuel Adams, signer of the
Declaration of Independence and Governor of Massachusetts said, "Among
the natural rights of the colonists are these: first, a right to life;
second, to liberty; third, to property; together with the right to support
and defend them in the best manner they can. Now what liberty can there be
where property is taken away without consent?" (Nov 20, 1772)
Pope Leo XIII:
Every man has by nature the right
to possess property of his own. This is one of the chief points of
distinction between man and the lower animals.
"The theory of the communists may
be summed up in a single sentence – 'abolition of private property.'" Karl
Marx, 1848, The
Communist Manifesto

On The "Big Tent"
Republican Philosophy:

Bucks GOP to pick congressional candidate (PDF)
Fitzpatrick expected to be tapped, then face Dem Schrader.
By Hal Marcovitz
Of The Morning Call
[Erich - "As you will see below, I believe
that we must not just listen for the 'pro-life' self-proclamation of a
person, but carefully observe everything that a person says and does. Does
a person's words and actions in endorsing and supporting pro-abortion
legislators define a person and the political party that endorses this
person election after election? Take a deep breath and pray for patience
and understanding. What you read next may shake you."]
"[State Rep. Paul I.] Clymer said too
much has been made of the abortion rights issue. Clymer, who is
anti-abortion, said he has consistently supported both Conti and Greenwood
over the years even though he has disagreed with their positions on
abortion.
Clymer said, 'It's an issue with me, but
it hasn't interfered with me supporting the people I want to support.'"
[Erich - "I strongly disagree with
Republican Representative Paul I. Clymer. Nothing is more important
than the issue of the Right to Life. Nothing. As your Federal
Representative, I would only support those who hold the Right to Life as
their most crucial priority."]
On Actions Defining a Political Party ("By
their fruit you will recognize them."):
Pro-Life Senate Candidate Narrowly Defeated in Pennsylvania (PDF)
By Bill Fancher and Jody Brown
April 29, 2004
[Erich - "Trust in a political party and
people is built and broken over the actions of the party and the people.
The Truth often hurts, but it also turns us into the right direction. Can
we really trust the Republican Party with the Right to Life? The Truth
speaks for itself, as you will see below."]
"(AgapePress) - Conservatives are
expressing disappointment with the results of Tuesday's Republican primary
in Pennsylvania. Despite his liberal voting record, Senator Arlen Specter
beat out challenger Pat Toomey, who had the support of many pro-family
people."
"On Wednesday morning, Specter thanked
Bush and Santorum for their 'unwavering support' and for 'solidly being in
my corner.' Then he went back to his standard mantra of trimming tax cuts,
resisting school vouchers, and continuing embryonic stem-cell research --
all of which are in direct opposition to the White House."
"Toomey was not without his own
high-profile conservative supporters. Foremost among them was well-known
Christian author and commentator Dr. James Dobson...."
[Erich - "When you see Rick Santorum and
George Bush against Dr. James Dobson, isn't that enough? If you are a
defender of Truth, I know that you will, as Dr. Laura says, 'just do the
right thing.' The Truth will set us free to see clearly and do the right
thing. I and my
Constitution
Party colleagues offer you Truth and Justice; the choice is up to you,
my friend. May God guide our thoughts and actions for His glory."]
